2008-May-04 Mississippi, USA Back to 2008 Florida Trip
Sarracenia alata
I just had time to drive around Ocean Springs area in Mississippi for a few hours on the last day of my trip. I was able to find many Sarracenia alata plants growing along the roadside grass area. Flowers were all completely finished probably a month earlier. New spring pitchers were seen, some already showing signs of damage. The best time for the pitchers would have been early April.
