Early

May, 2005, northern California. The spring arrived a little late this year, I was told. All the flowers seemed a bit shorter than usual, measuring only 30-40 cm in height. My typical measurement is 60-70 cm at the time of blossom. This year, I did  not observe any new leaves either at the time of flowering.
