Pinkish flowers bloom
in May in the southern locality of this species in the Florida panhandle. A tall scape
bearing many flower buds
protrudes above
the glandular leaves. A flower typically opens
for only a few hours in the morning. All the flowers face eastward toward
the morning sun.
A forest of glandular
leaves of the threadleaf sundews (green-form) covering
the
Florida panhandle savanna. In early May, at 10:00am,
pink flowers
started to bloom. By noon they will be gone. Tomorrow
morning a next flower on the scape will flower.
